Mohawk has been building fiberglass canoes since 1964. Only the latest in construction techniques are used in building our up-to-date contemporary designs. Emphasis is placed on refining our manufacturing processes, not material substitution, to maintain our competitive pricing. All Mohawk fiberglass canoes begin with an isophthalic gelcoat, and then heavily reinforced with hand-laid 18 oz. woven roving. Selective patching and extra materials are placed in the ends and bottom. Balsa ribs and 2 layers of glass are added to insure that the bottom is stiff. minimum oil canning in the bottom is important to retain the integrity of the hull design while under power. but also reduces cracked chines under excessive bottom flex. Polyurethane flotation is put into both ends and then the hull is finished with heat-treated aluminum trim, using solid rivets. Hand-formed decks and our proven seats are added to make a lightweight and strong canoe.

DELUXE TRIM
Black aluminum gunwales and deck plates. With the Mohawk style ash yoke and web or cane seat. A classic looking canoe! But higher maintenance than the other options.
STANDARD TRIM
Mill finish aluminum gunwales and deck plates. With our heavy duty and maintenance free aluminum thwart, seat frame and fiberglass seat pan. Best bet for outdoor storage. cooler than the black aluminum.
UPGRADED TRIM
More practical than the painted trim, but with the good looks of the white ash carrying Yoke and web seats. A good compromise.

A short, wide fiberglass canoe with a wishbone stern. It is ideal for the fisherman or hunter who wants to use a small motor ( 1.5 HP gas or any electric trolling motor), and still retain the paddling characteristics of a double-ender.

14 SPORTSMAN

With its wide, full bottom, this canoe offers generous stability and can accommodate two paddlers and plenty of gear. Great for the fisherman or casual paddler. Also a good choice for someone want to solo occasionally.

An excellent general purpose canoe. The shallow-arched bottom offers good stability, yet a fine entry, and a little "V" gives it ample tracking ability. It is designed to accommodate the needs of the beginner, as well as the seasoned paddler. Ideal for cruising. camping or just family fun. Our most popular model.

Similar to the Blazer 16, but 16" longer. The added volume makes for a more stable canoe with more gear carrying capacity. A good choice for tripping and camping, or in a situation where extra room and stability are needed like fishing or hunting.
